Having a digital footprint has its pro’s and its con’s. it all depends on the situation. When it comes to trying to reconnect with friends or to have a good reputation online then digital footprint comes in handy but if you have posted and inappropriate photo online, that photo will never be lost because of digital footprint so I thing that depending on the situation will determine if a digital footprint is bad or not.
